Cisco CABU Introduction：
Cable Access Business Unit (CABU) focuses to build the Fiber /Cable access network architecture. Products include uBR10k, Optical transmission platform, DOCSIS3.1 Optical Node/Amp platform and Next-Generation Network Solutions for Cable Access. CABU team at Cisco China Research and Development Center, focus on CCAP-Core /CMTS/DOCSIS3.1 HFC Node /Amp and next-generation Remote PHY System Engineering developments.

Location: Shanghai

Responsibilities:

• Participates on a project team of engineers involved in the specification, design, development and test of hardware for CABU products.
• Design hardware PCB board including power supply, micro controller, ADC/DAC and etc.
• Interfaces cross-functionally at the working team level.
• Work closely with SW design engineer, layout engineer, mechanical engineer and test engineer throughout the development process

Requirements:

Must have skill/experiences

• Familiar with 8/16/32 bit MCU/Network processor or CPLD/FPGA
• Familiar with ECAD tool, such as Cadence Concept/Allegro
• Familiar with ADC/DAC,and interface such as RS232, RS485, SPI and I2C
• Experience in board level bring up
• Knowledge in high speed circuit design
• Fluent English speaking and writing

Good to have skill/experiences

• Capability of proficiency with spice (or equivalent) circuit simulation
• Networking knowledge such as TCP/IP, MAC and PHY layers
• General knowledge of modulation such as QAM and OFDM
• Knowledge for DOCSIS, HFC, PON or WiFi
• Hands-on trouble shooting experience

Educational Background

• Typically requires MSEE/CS
   

Intern Period:        > 6 months.
