Practical Compressive Sensing for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Imaging and Magnetic Resonant Imaging (MRI) Systems

Yahong Rosa Zheng (M'03–SM'07–F'15) received the B.S. degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China, in 1987, and the M.S. degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1989, both in electrical engineering. She received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering, Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada, in 2002. She was an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow from January 2003 to April 2005 at the University of Missouri-Columbia. In 2005, she joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology where, she is currently a Professor. Her research interests include wireless communications, embedded systems, digital signal processing, and wireless sensor networks.  
She has published more than 60 journal papers and more than 100 conference papers. She has served as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for many IEEE international conferences, including IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference, IEEE GlobeCom, and IEEE ICC, and IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, etc. She served as Symposium Co-chair and TPC Co-chairs for several ICC and Globecom conferences. Dr. Zheng also served as an Associate Editor for the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS from 2006 to 2008. She is currently an Associate Editor for the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON VEHICULAR TECHNOLOGY and IEEE JOURNAL OF OCEANIC ENGINEERING. She was the recipient of an NSF CAREER Award in 2009. She is a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Vehicular Technology Society for 2015 – 2017. She has been a Fellow of the IEEE since 2015.
