主讲人简介:楼雄文教授是能源材料领域的杰出研究者,拥有新加坡国立大学和康奈尔大学的学位背景。在新加坡南洋理工大学担任教授期间成果卓越,后于2023年加入香港城市大学。他的研究方向集中在金属氧化物框架结构材料的合成与应用,成果丰硕,多次获奖。同时,他还担任多个国际学术期刊的编辑职务,发表论文众多,学术影响力显著。
讲座内容:Nanostructured materials are promising as electrode materials for electrochemical energy storage and conversion, including lithium-ion batteries, lithium-sulfur batteries and electrocatalysis. In this talk, I will briefly discuss some of my early works about the design, synthesis and electrochemical properties of nanostructured materials, for example hollow nanostructures of metal oxides/sulfides, for different batteries. Specifically, we have been able to synthesize different hollow nanostructures of many metal oxides such as SnO2, Fe2O3 and TiO2 for the anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. We have also designed many functional hollow structures for lithium-sulfur batteries, sodium-ion batteries, and more recently for lithium metal anodes. We have also synthesized some nanostructured electrocatalysts and single-atom catalysts for different electrocatalytic reactions such as oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), oxygen evolution reaction (OER), hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and CO2 reduction.
