报告题目:  Recent results on global well-posedness for the Boltzmann equation with large oscillating data

报告摘要:  In this talk I will present recent results on the global existence of solutions to the Boltzmann equation for a class of initial data with large oscillations. Precisely we will discuss the Cauchy problem in the whole space or torus, the IBVP for hard potentials on bounded domains with diffuse reflection condition, and the existence and dynamical stability of nontrivial stationary solutions to the BVP for soft potentials. 

报告人简介：段仁军，香港中文大学副教授，主要从事非线性偏微分方程的理论研究。2008年在香港城市大学获理学博士学位；2008年至2010年在奥地利科学院作博士后研究；曾获钟家庆数学奖等；主持香港研究基金多项；已在Comm. Pure App. Math.、Arch. Rational. Mech. Anal.、 Comm. Math. Phys.、 J. Math. Pures. Appl.、 Ann. I. H. Poincare – AN、 M3AS、 SIAM J. Math Anal.、 Comm. PDE、 DCDS-A、 J. Diff. Eq. 等国外一流刊物发表学术论文60余篇，H指数19。
