内容简介:

I will review about 6d self-dual strings in superconformal field theories and little string theories. They are stable and interacting objects which play a central role in the tensor branch dynamics of 6d theories. For some examples, one can derive a weakly-coupled 2d gauge theory describing the worldsheet physics of 6d strings. It enables us to obtain BPS quantities for underlying 6d theories, based on which one can establish the duality relations between apparently different 5d and/or 6d quantum theories. 

 

主讲人简介:

Dr, Joonho Kim is currently a research fellow in School of Physics in Korea Institute for Advanced Study, Seoul, Republic of Korea. In 2015, He obtained the PhD degree at Seoul National University. Now he is an active researcher on string theory and M-theory and has published a number of renowned papers.
